What's the catch with paying after?
There isn't one. I build your site, you look it over, and you only pay if you're happy with it. I'd rather let the work do the convincing than ask you to trust a sales pitch.
Is it expensive?
Websites start at $899 during founding pricing, or $75 a month with hosting included. For a lot of service businesses, one new job covers it.
Most of my work comes from word of mouth. Do I need a website?
Word of mouth is great, and a website makes it work harder. When someone recommends you, the first thing their friend does is look you up. A good site turns “my buddy used this guy” into a phone call.
My Facebook page works fine. Why pay for a website?
Keep the Facebook page. But plenty of customers aren't on Facebook, and it usually isn't what comes up when someone searches for your trade in your town. A website is yours, and it's built to be found.
Can't I just build one myself on Wix?
You can, and some people do. Just ask yourself if you want to spend your evenings dragging boxes around, and whether anyone will find it on Google when you're done. I handle the build, the SEO, and the upkeep so you can stay on the job.
I don't have time for a big project.
You won't need much: a short conversation, some photos of your work, and a look at the site before it goes live. I take care of the rest.
Do I own the files?
With a one-time build, yes. The site is yours from day one and you can host it wherever you like.
I'm not a writer. Who writes the words?
I do, and you don't have to write a word. Writing comes at a few levels, and the standard one is included in every price on this page. You tell me what you do, who you do it for and what people always ask you, and I write the pages from that. You read them and tell me what's wrong. Nobody has ever had to hand me finished copy.
If you want more than that, like longer pages, more depth, or several rounds of rewriting, that's available as well. It gets quoted on its own, case by case, so you'll know the cost before any work starts.
Do I have to be local?
Nope. I work with service businesses all over, and everything happens by phone, text, and email. If you're near the Hudson Valley and would rather sit down in person, I'm happy to do that too.
